Our Educational Approach

Our Role in Your Child’s Development

Our team of dedicated professionals is here to guide your child through their crucial early years. Research states the idea that 90% of a child’s brain develops before the age of 5. We believe our role during these formative years is to build the foundation for a promising life-long love of learning and social-emotional growth.

We’re Dedicated to the Whole Child

We recognize that children have diverse needs encompassing physical, social, emotional, and academic aspects. That’s why we embrace the Seven Domains of Learning, addressing every facet of your child’s development.

We Prioritize Inclusivity

We embrace diversity in all its forms. Our purposefully designed play spaces cater to every child’s unique background, family, culture, and language. This inclusive atmosphere fosters awareness, independence, and self-regulation that prepares them for a lifetime of positive interactions and confidence.

We Tailor Our Curriculum

We understand that every child is different and learns at their own pace. That’s why we customize lessons to meet the unique needs of every child, celebrating their individuality. Our curriculum is centered around child-led explorations that are scaffolded and enhanced by our teachers as they work towards reaching their developmental milestones and prepare for a successful transition to kindergarten.

Your Child’s Day

At Arie’s Angels Childcare, we believe in the power of rituals and routines. Consistency in a child’s daily schedule helps create a stable and secure environment, offering them a dependable framework. This consistency allows them to anticipate and understand the flow of their day, fostering a comforting sense of familiarity. By incorporating routines and rituals into our educational approach, we ensure that our students thrive in an environment that prioritizes their emotional well-being and development.

Rituals + Behaviors = Results

In our classrooms, you can expect to see:

Morning Connection

At Arie’s Angels Childcare, children start their day with a Brain Smart Start, where we unite, disengage stress, connect, and commit. This is an engaging Conscious Discipline routine which helps build the school family and teaches children effective problem-solving tools in a fun, developmentally appropriate way. At the end of their Morning Connection, children also go over class jobs and review the daily visual schedule, setting them up for the day ahead!

Interest Areas

At Arie’s Angels Childcare, our classroom is equipped with engaging Interest Areas, also known as “Play Spaces” or “Centers,” for children to explore: Dramatic Play, Art, Blocks, Science/Discovery, Library, Toys & Games, Music & Movement, and Sensory. Twice a day every day, our Interest Areas open up for play; children select their Interest Areas based on what they are “interested” in that day, allowing our youngest minds to learn and play at their own pace and in their own way!

Mealtime Experience

At Arie’s Angels Childcare, we believe mealtime is a vital part of the day that highlights many of the learning domains, especially social-emotional literacy. Our Mealtime Philosophy states, “We believe in the whole child and are committed to providing meaningful mealtime experiences in a relaxed and conversational environment. We believe the early years are a critical time for the development of healthy habits and are dedicated to creating a foundation for successful mealtime routines.”

Process Art

At Arie’s Angels Childcare, we’re firm believers in open-ended process art. We don’t see art as a finished product; we see it as an experience that gives your child the freedom to explore, imagine, and embrace their independence. Learning does not come from reaching an end result; it comes from the creative process itself. Let your child’s imagination soar as they embark on a colorful journey of self-expression and discovery.
